Denise LeBlanc-Chatt - Owner & Head Instructor
Denise has studied dance for the past 50 years and has been owner of The Dancing Place Dance Academy since 1980. She has trained and studied with Dance Master’s of America Teacher’s Training School, Dance Educators of America and in New York City with Broadway Dance Center; Steps on Broadway; Phil Black; Betsy Haug and Frank Hatchett.
Denise has also studied at Enid Bots-Fort School of Ballet in Rochester, Tim Draper School of Ballet in
Rohester, The American Academy of Ballet in Buffalo, Kit-’tome Dance Center with Tom Relebate. She has been taking classes with the David DeMarie Dance Studio for 30 years and was on their teaching staff for the past 8 years. Denise was on the teaching staff at Classical Ballet of Western N.Y. for 10 years. Denise has performed with Brockport Summer
Theater, Batavia Rotary, Batavia Players, Wyoming Bicentennial Players, and Swell Productions; which traveled
to Edinburgh, Scotland in 2000 to perform Daniel,
The Musical at the Fringe Festival. Denise has choreographed over 150 musicals throughout Genesee and Wyoming Counties and continues to bring dance to all who ask.
Nicole Koch- Instructor
Nicole has 27 years of dance training under the guidance of Denise Chatt. Over 10 years competitive dance performance with over 15 first place group and solo performances. She has 12 years of experience teaching and choreographing ballet and contemporary classes. Nicole has choreographed cheer dance for NOFA cheer competitions. She has also performed as a specialty dancer with Batavia Players and Rotary
Club in the productions of
Brigadoon, Kiss Me Kate, The
Producers, and Daniel. Nicole has her degree in Education and has a deep joy for teaching kids of all ages.
